We’ve been on a bit of a bug fixing spree, between myself and _mental_ we’ve sorted out the problems with arbfp1 and 1D textures, and the cel shader is now working great on both render systems.
I was lucky enough to be the happy recipient of a GeForce FX 5900 Ultra today, a beast of a card that weighs a ton and sounds like a nuclear power station starting up, but it can sure pump out some juice. This means I can now test arbfp1 on my own developer machine, which is great news.
Unfortunately, when updating to the latest nVidia drivers (v53.03), a bug or two surfaced. One was to do with the depth range generated from vertex programs as opposed to the fixed function pipeline in D3D, and the other is some change in the mipmap calculation used in D3D which caused our fonts to become fuzzy. I’ve fixed both of these issues now, so I can hopefully get back to working on the revised dot3bump demo tomorrow.
