I was looking forward to putting some quality time into Bioshock last night, having neglected it for over a week now due to travelling, multiplayer GH2 sessions and such. Unfortunately however my stomach and related organs chose this time to encounter what can be most tactfully described as a ‘significant containment breach’ and thus my evening was completely ruined. It felt very much like food poisoning but since my wife ate the exact same meal and has been fine it can’t be that. She informed me today that someone at her work had just come back after something very similar, and that there’s a stomach bug ‘going around’. Joy.
I’ve spent most of today prone and as weak as a kitten but at least my temperature has gone down enough for me to crawl to the keyboard for a while to cover the essentials. Here’s hoping tomorrow will be better…

Be well soon Steve. Here those ‘bugs’ are quite common, unfortunately

I wish you all the best to get health again very quickly! I had such sickness twice in my life and it was very hard each time, once I even got unconscious in the bath room for several minutes. In both cases, there was no noticable infection around me, it came out of nothing, but it took a week to rebuild strength each time. Use salted, decarbonated coke and salt sticks at the beginning and go further to chewable food then. Don’t get back to work too fast (or do the work in bed), as the body is drowned heavily by the sickness.

At 10’000 km distance you seem to have catched the same bug as my 1 year boy :S
One hour ago he justed gave us back his milk.
I find it amazing how such a little body can throw half processed milk at such a distance… on the carpet of course.
I hope you are both well soon.
