Thanks Chris - actually these mods lasted really well (almost 2 years of weekly use), the metal pedal reinforcer definitely saved the pedal. I had to re-stick the pads more than once but that wasn't a big deal.

I've retired this set now though since I bought myself a Roland TD9 :) http://www.stevestreeting.com/2009/12/09/complete-guide-to-using-a-roland-td9-in-rock-band/

@Kentamanos: you do realise you've just given away the best idea for a Rock Band mod ever? Someone will get rich from that ;)

The only mod I REALLY need for my drums is a cup holder for a beer can. It could also act as a cowbell ;).

That Surface video made me throw up a little in my mouth. I won't debate their implementation and who innovated what...but holy crap that was cheesy.

It is a lot for one game, but we played Guitar Hero (1 & 2 anyway) for over a year and that was with only 2 players and no DLC (on PS2), so I decided that despite the cost, it was worth it. We just clear the middle of the lounge when we want to play and put everything away afterwards, it doesn't take up that much space really. You definitely get more out of it if you have people around, but even with 1/2 players it's a lot of fun.

Oh dear, that ad is so incredibly cheesy. Just keep layering the polish on that turd MS... ;) Well, that's a bit harsh - but I'm sure it would have been a lot better with Jeff Han's tech.

A lot of people at work have Rock Band... I just can't bring myself to spend that much on one game. That and I don't know if I have space in my lounge! Looks like the mods you got make everything a little bit more real.

This will probably wind you up...
