It’s nice when software reflects a programmer’s sense of humour and humility. This message appeared when I restarted Firefox 3.5.3 after an XP crash:

Bravo – thanks for making me chuckle, and thus forgive you instantly for any error (and it might not even have been yours). Bless.

Yeah. Oddly, I get this error message every time I start Firefox, since upgrading to 3.5. There’s a button I then click, can’t remember what, that makes it reload all the tabs anyway. It must be because I’m placated by the error message that I can’t be bothered to do anything about it. Then again, I only reboot once a week on average, and Firefox runs continuously in between.

If FireFox crashed every day I used it I would still prefer it to I.E.
My first job in IT was my Uni year in industry as a Software Tester for a loan shark company. I will never forget the first software crash error message I saw there:
“Warning!! Subsystem Meltdown!”
Somewhat overly dramatic but made me laugh.

Strange, this is the first time I’ve seen it and I’ve restarted a few times.
“Kernel Panic” and “Guru Meditation” always stick with me…

It happens whenever it just ‘dies suddenly’ (SIGKILL, SIGTERM, crash or so).
