OSX - tamed (ish)

Ok with a bit of manual copying of the Ogre.framework into /Libraries, I got some of the demos to work in OSX. Not sure if that’s what I’m supposed to do, especially since this doesn’t let you have Developement and Deployment (Debug / Release I assume) builds alongside each other, but it will do for my purposes now. Not all of the demos work, some don’t because of the more limited graphical capabilities of the machine, and for some reason Lighting gives me a zerolink error when I fire it up - that puzzles me since Lighting doesn’t use any libs the others don’t already.

The CEGui demos won’t work until the CEGui renderer is set up (which there isn’t a project for in OSX right now by the looks). I grabbed CEGui 0.4.1 and built that locally, again with a few minor changes (I always disable Xerces in my CEGui builds). That all went fine and again I’ve manually installed the resulting framework. Now I have to figure out how to make a new project for the CEGui renderer rather than just messing with existing ones. However, I’m out of time so this will have to wait until after the release. I’m still pretty pleased at getting this far in under 24 hours. 😀

My discovery for today? When you use fullscreen mode, OSX fades out the desktop and fades in OGRE, and vice versa when you exit. Mmmm, silky.
